Difference between FUT Hair Transplant and FUE Hair Transplant

When you decide for hair transplant treatment then usually one question always comes in your mind that which method is the most suitable. There are two types of hair loss treatment method – FUT Hair Transplant and second one is FUE Hair Transplant.  Hair Restoration methods are used for removing follicle units from the back of the head and place them into the bald area. The back area of head do not lose hair because that area id more resistant to hormonal changes.

Two methods of hair transplantation procedure:

  1. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
  2. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

In FUT method, strip of scalp is removed from the back area of scalp which is used as donor area and places the grafts individually in naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, called follicular units. With this treatment you will get right amount of hair density and makes your look natural. It has few complications and short recovery period. This is the minimally invasive procedure and requires a surgeon who is highly skillful and experienced. This surgical procedure has less amount of risk and highly successful and considered as the most protective method.

Another hair restoration treatment FUE method consists of follicular units which are taken individually from the back of the head which is removed with the aid of specially designed machine. It is painless and takes few hours.

There is slightly difference between these two procedures. The different things in procedures are explained above, and the rest of the procedure is same in both surgical methods. In FUT method, baldness is removed within few hours, but there is chance of having linear scar. In FUE, you will not face any linear scar and the recovery time is too much quicker and patient can get back to the work office after the next of treatment.
