Difference between PRP and Hair Transplant?

The problem of thin hair is very common which is faced by both men and women as they age. There is not a lot of options which are effective but some of them are beneficial in treating the hair loss and helps in regrowth of hair. In that case, hair transplant and PRP therapy have been proved helpful. Let’s understand how they are different from each other.

Hair Transplant
During the hair transplant surgery, the hair follicles are taken from the back of the scalp one by one, which is also known as the donor area. After that, the grafts are transplanted one by one on the problematic area where hair growth is very less. PRP
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a newer technique has been proven effective in stimulating the growth of tissue. But now, PRP is being used for stimulating the dormant hair cells so that they can result in hair growth.
During the treatment, a sample of the patient’s blood is collected. With the centrifuge, the platelets are separated and they mixed with extracted plasma to create PRP. After that, the scalp is numbed and PRP injections are placed on the scalp.
